Hello,

I have been testing my Pico PC and found poor performance to be an issue. After the initial setup I upgraded to Windows 11 pro.

When trying to stream 4 K video the number of dropped frames was very large, over 50% of the total. So it was unwatchable. Two days of

searching for a solution and trying a number of different fixes the problem has not gone away. The changes I have made include, changing the power plan

to ultimate performance, turning off game mode, removed unneeded start up programs, turned off a number of Windows interface effects and turning off some

background services. I have not installed any applications as yet. After all that, the streaming performance has improved a little. Streaming a 4K video from

Youtube is very poor for full screen and cinema mode. The default Youtube display which is the smallest seems ok. I have done the usual internet connection

tests. All is ok there, and the Pico Pc is connected the internet gateway at 5 Ghz an unused channel. My usual laptop streams 4k at 60 fps with very few dropped

frames at all. Any suggestions about how to fix this problem would be welcome.   BYe....... Paul

Hello, I have tried everything I can to improve the video streaming performance of the Pico PC but it still will not stream 4k video.

The number of frames dropped when viewing a 4K video full screen is around 50%, so it's unwatchable. Very disappointed in this performance.

I anyone has some real suggestions about what the problem might be please post to this forum.

Cheers..... Paul

This is very disappointing. Having tried all the various Windows fixes for very poor streaming performance, I have now reset the Pico PC to the factory state as recommended by Microsoft. The problem still exists. So I can only assume there is a problem that can't be fixed by software alone. How did this Pico PC pass the quality control checks ??? What went wrong ? Despite posting about this problem, the only suggestion from XDO was to check the faqs, which proved to no help at all. If I can't get this problem fixed then the unit will need to be repaired under warranty or returned for a full refund.   Bye..... Paul

Hello,

So my PICO PC can't stream 4k videos, no even close. When is this going to fixed ?  Having upgraded to Windows 11 straight after it arrived, I am now faced with a huge amount of work to try an downgrade it back to Windows 10. I am not sure that this will be successful, if it fails have bricked my computer ???

Bye.....
