So, I received my PicoPC a little while ago, and finally started it. Windows (10 Pro) seems to install without a problem, but when I try to activate it, I get the following:
"Windows reported that the hardware of your device has changed. Error code: 0xC004F211"
I have checked several guides, but to no avail. The built-in troubleshooter says it can't find anything wrong, and tells me to go to the Windows Store to by a license (for about 2 times the amount I paid for the PicoPC, so that won't happen). So is there a way to find my product-key, so I can do a fresh install, or some other way of fixing this?
Hi, same problem here. The Windows 10 activation code is missing.
I saw in another thread here on the forum that it's supposed to be a small sticker or something (?), possibly loose inside the packaging (!).
I definitely did not receive any piece of paper with the activation code. It's so frustrating.
There should be a sticker attached to the manual. Be careful not to lose it or missed by putting it to trash boxes packages.
My package was quite torn up when i received it, so it might have fallen out (if it was a small piece of paper), but in any case it wasn’t present
@yanus3d Dear there is no any manual in the box. I received a simple thick card bord box included Pantera pc, power adapter (US) and a XDO sticker.

Oh, that's strange....then, simply write a mail to vicky@xdo.ai with the problem. They answer fast and they are very helpful.
@yanus3d I had an automated reply email that said they're so busy with shipping, that it will take up to 6 days before I can expect a reply.

I suspect they started shipping on a massive scale Panteras after troubles with pandemia (they had at least two lockdowns in this region in the last year)...maybe that's why. But I just guess.
Here, is how should look manual.
Btw, there is Panter standing on my Work Station (Dual Xeon+Ampere 3090) 😎
@yanus3d You are lucky that you got some piece of paper. I already did mail vicky@xdo.ai and found automated reply.
This time this PC is only a paperweight because SSD faulty as other buyers reported.
@yanus3d Hi Janusz, thanks for posting that photo!
That PC manual was definitely not in my package.
I would imagine they would fix the sticker with the Windows code to the manual?

Yes, there is a Windows10 activation code.
Hello Everyone!
If you purchased the windows key, then it was taped onto the "X" sticker. Only the earliest shipments had manuals. We ran out and we'll use these forums for support. If you didn't purchase the license, then email us at vicky@xdo.ai and we will send you a purchase link. You can also order Win10 pro license on other stores online.
Make sure not to do the Window 11 upgrade when prompted AND back up / clone your SSD drive.
Thanks!
Hi all,
just a quick update on my situation - for those of you also without an activation code.
Vicky answered my emails (within 2 days!) and cleared up all my questions very efficiently.
It appears that I had not spotted (when placing original order) that you need to purchase a license key *separately*. That's the mystery why I didn't receive an activation code! 😃
i purchased and received the code on a sticker in the box but get the error mentioned about a change in hardware. How do I proceed.
